About Jen - I started skating in 1987. My background is heavily edge-based with figures being at the forefront. In 2018, I became the first skater in the US to pass the 8th (Gold) Figure Test in 12 years. Additionally, I competed in the World Figure Championships in 2015 and 2016, showcasing my expertise in figure skating. *Circles on ice.
Jen is a member of United States Figure Skating and holds multiple ratings with the former Professional Skaters Association. I was invited to begin coaching in 1998, offering skating lessons to skaters of all ages, from Tots to Adults. Jen has worked with all ages and varying levels of hockey skill skating, for beginners to AAA and Juniors.
-I fell in love with skating even more as a coach, as I was able to help skaters find their passion on the ice.

The Skate with Jen Team – Where we started: Peter, Alex, and Austin skated with Jen for over 10 years, and they were the players I wanted to bring in as coaches for our skating lessons and hockey training. We developed a program that prioritizes skating optimization, focusing on edge work, stability, and control.
Alex and Peter have since moved out of state to pursue their careers, while Austin continues to train in Columbus and is working on his degree.

Jenn has a strong background in edgework, making her well-equipped to offer skating lessons that focus on technique and power creation. A member of the Professional Skaters Association and the United States Figure Skating Association, Jenn also understands the importance of skating optimization in both figure skating and hockey training. Additionally, she is a certified yoga instructor.

Simon skated CBJ AAA and later went to Canada to play Juniors. He is currently attending Denison while working on a degree in Business.

Dylan started playing hockey in 2009 as a right wing. His favorite aspect of hockey is getting assists, and he aims to advance as far as he can in the sport. He also enjoys coaching and helping others learn how to play, which complements his passion for hockey training. Additionally, Dylan has completed his courses in Fire Rescue and is w

Additionally, Dylan has completed his courses in Fire Rescue and is working towards becoming a Firefighter. In his free time, he even explores skating lessons to enhance his skating optimization skills.

Max started skating in 2017, initially focusing on hockey training as a defenseman before moving to forward. He loves playing hockey and values the lifelong friendships he’s made through the sport. Peter is a Head Coach for SWJ and has been with us from the beginning. Peter played on the OSHL team and was a captain for Hilliard. Peter is out of state, working on his degree in medicine.

Alex is a Head Coach for SWJ and has been with us from the beginning. Alex played on the OSU club team, was the club president for two years and served as alternate captain. Alex studied Aerospace Engineering at OSU and is working out of state.

Austin is a Head Coach for SWJ and has been with us from the beginning. Austin has his Athletic Training certification.
